Mindy Curnutt Managing Partner, Mindy Curnutt & Associates Consulting Imposter Syndrome - Sometimes Feel Like a Fraud? Welcome to the Club! Have you ever thought to yourself “All these people think I’m smarter than I really am" or "I really don’t know what I’m doing, they're going to figure out I'm a fraud!” If yes, then you suffer from the Impostor Syndrome. And despite all the accomplishments, awards and accolades, you still doubt yourself. It’s rampant in the modern day tech workplace, and the fear will make you shrink back from opportunities. You dismiss praise. You overcompensate by working harder, being charming and demanding perfection from yourself. What would happen if you were released from this bondage, and kicked your impostor to the curb? In this session, learn powerful techniques that can help to improve your confidence and silence that annoying voice in your head! Mindy Curnutt is a 4X Microsoft Data Platform MVP and an Idera Ace whose specialties include SQL Server hardware, configuration, scalability and performance tuning. She has been actively involved in the SQL Server Community for over a decade and has become a well known speaker within the SQL and Transportation Management communities. She presented at the SQLPASS Summits in 2005, 2006, 2012, 2013 & 2015 and was awarded the SQL PASS Outstanding Volunteer award in both June 2015 and September 2016. She has spoken many times at her local North Texas SQL Server User Group where she currently serves on the Board of Directors, and at numerous SQLSaturdays throughout North America. In 2013 and 2014 she was a Team Lead for the SQLPASS Summit Abstract Review Process and from 2015-2017 she has served as one of the few SQLPASS Summit Program Managers. Mindy was also a SME for both the SQL 2012 and 2014 Microsoft Certification Exams and contributed to the Microsoft Press Book "SQL Server 2012 Step by Step". She has two new books in the works as a co-author, "SQL Server 2017 Inside Out" and "Let Her Finish". Mindy is an Independent Consultant.
